Prior to his retirement in 2012, Tom spent 44 years actively engaged in several community rehabilitation organizations in Wisconsin. Primarily, Tom served 28 years as Executive Director of The Threshold, Inc. in Washington County—an organization that provides early intervention services to children with developmental delays, as well as a variety of adult services including vocational evaluation and training, employment, day services, and senior services.
While there, Tom was actively involved in various leadership roles with Rehabilitation for Wisconsin (RFW) in addition to several community boards. During Tom’s tenure, The Threshold was a provider agency for five different managed care organizations in Southeastern Wisconsin.
Following Tom’s retirement, Care Wisconsin asked Tom to chair an advisory committee for their eastern region, and later asked him to serve on their statewide board of directors. When My Choice and Care Wisconsin merged, Tom happily joined the combined board to help ensure quality member services.
Tom is married to his wife, Ardith, and has three children and six grandchildren. When he’s not serving on the board, he’s usually fishing, golfing, or reading.
